Liquid Level Transmitter (Cable Type)

Liquid Level Transmitter (Cable Type)

Model: HMPCM260

Category:

The HMPCM260 liquid level transmitter uses a high-performance diffused silicon piezoresistive pressure sensor as its measuring element. It accurately measures the hydrostatic pressure, which is proportional to the liquid depth, and converts it into a standard (current or voltage) output signal through a signal conditioning circuit. This establishes a linear relationship between the output signal and the liquid depth, enabling precise measurement of liquid level.

The product features high accuracy and a compact design. It can be directly immersed in the liquid to measure the height from the transmitter’s tip to the liquid surface, making it easy to use. It is suitable for liquid level measurement and control in industries such as petroleum, chemical, power plants, municipal water supply, and hydrological exploration.

After undergoing prolonged aging and stability screening, the product offers stable and reliable performance. It is suitable for application in relatively harsh outdoor environments. Additionally, it features on-site liquid level display, and allows for zero and span adjustment.

Important Notes:

1. Never touch the diaphragm with hard objects, as this may cause damage to the isolation diaphragm.

2. Please read the product user manual carefully before installation and verify all relevant product information.

3. Strictly adhere to the specified wiring methods when connecting. Incorrect wiring may lead to product damage and other potential malfunctions.

Product Selection and Installation Diagram (For Reference Only)

I. Product Selection

1. For outdoor applications, it is recommended to select the liquid level transmitter with the 2088 housing. If the direct lead wire type transmitter is chosen for outdoor use, the customer’s wiring terminal must be connected to a waterproof junction box or other sealing measures.

2. When installing the product in areas prone to lightning, please specify “Lightning Protection” when placing the order. It is also recommended that the user install additional lightning surge protection devices on-site and ensure both the product and the power supply are reliably grounded. This can reduce the probability of lightning damage to the transmitter.

II. Installation in Static Water (Deep Wells, Reservoirs, Tanks, etc.)

Installation Guidelines:

1. When measuring the liquid level of a static fluid in an open container, vertically immerse the liquid level transmitter to the bottom of the container. Secure the transmitter’s cable and junction box at the container’s opening.

2. If the medium has high viscosity (e.g., in a sewage tank), a protective sleeve or bracket can be installed to ensure the transmitter can reach the bottom of the container.

3. For outdoor installations, position the transmitter’s junction box in a well-ventilated, dry location as much as possible. Avoid direct sunlight and rain exposure to prevent excessive housing temperature or water ingress, which could damage the internal circuit board.

III. Installation in Moving Water (Rivers, Streams, Lakes, etc.)

Installation Guidelines:

1. When measuring water level in flowing water where medium fluctuations are significant, a steel pipe with an inner diameter of 5 cm can be inserted into the water channel. Several small holes approximately Φ5 mm should be drilled at different heights on the side of the pipe facing away from the flow direction (the side immersed in water) to allow water to enter the pipe. Secure the cable and junction box at the pipe’s outlet.

2. In water channels with high medium fluctuations and sediment content, a damping device can also be installed to filter out sediment and mitigate the adverse effects of dynamic pressure and waves, thereby ensuring measurement accuracy.
